Julien Gérard
Oxfam Belgium Institutional Partnership Manager
Brussels, Belgium
I have been working as an Institutional Partnership Manager at Oxfam Belgium for more than five years. I am responsible for building our partnership with WFP around innovations, food assistance, resilience and social protection in the humanitarian contexts where Oxfam operates. We have been working with WFP since 2016 on the implementation of innovations - such as hydroponics (H2Grow) - to strengthen local food production capacities, particularly in contexts impacted by climate change. I’m supporting the development and scale-up of sustainable low-tech innovations in food security within the Oxfam Confederation under the Oxfam Belgium "Innovate To Feed" Program umbrella. My tasks are focused on programmatic design, institutional fundraising, grant management and partnership building with donors and academic partners providing additional technical and scientific support. I have a degree in economics, development cooperation and microfinance, and a background of more than 12 years as a Project Manager in the NGO sector (livelihoods, agriculture and breeding, food security, microfinance, vocational training, etc.).
